![]() ![]() My 621 never really locked into the roller and the nose bounced. I think my issue is due to my bunk trailer (EZ Loader Tandem) being such that if I don't get the boat up and onto the bow roller (before, and after drotto) the boat won't really be fully on the trailer and can rock forward/backward a bit- somewhat the wrong trailer.īut I do love having it now - some launches are perfectly sloped so I can just coast right onto the lock and step off - it's the steeper ones that rub the paint. ![]() Adjustments may be needed so that you have a nice settlement onto the roller+latch at a variety of launch slopes. So be aware that powering on a boat up the roller to the eyelet does cause some kind of stress. I installed a Drotto for my Alumacraft 185 - noticed some time afterward that all the paint that was on the keel edge is now on the center of the bow roller. One potential issue with the 2015/6 Rangers, the Ranger bow eyelet is small and you may need a separate S clamp to secure the boat - please check with the folks at Drotto Yes, with the roller and if you call the number on the website, they are very responsive and will confirm ![]()
